I am highly unhappy that Facebook is blocked within the UniMAP library’s Internet network. It’s such a pivotal and important tool for students to socialize around the Net world, relax to play some interesting games, and probably exposed to the world outside as well.
I still cannot understand why they want to do such thing. Is Facebook such a threat? Will the students be so addicted to Facebook that they abandon their studies? Students, even with slightest discipline and concern to studies, will learn how to balance between work and play.
The only thing that makes up my huge disappointment is that the Internet here is actually very FAST. I can still browse the news, blogs, Arsenal FC, Formula 1, so on so forth.
However, something is just lacking if there is no Facebook around. I admit, I am a real Facebook freak. In this stage of life, no Facebook, no life.
Maybe it’s just a training ground for me to lessen the dependency towards Facebook to kill my time? Hahaha..
God bless you all!
